The Hutton House Lectures/LIU Post Campus
I am very happy to be back at Hutton House. Continuing with Broadway Musicals class for the winter of 2018, and planning more Opera and Broadway in the spring with favorite female performers during thesummer. I appreciate my loyal following...and I just wish time allowed me to do more!
Thanks to you everyone, and I hope to see you soon.

The New York Council for the Humanities
Speakers in the Humanities
I recently ended my tenure as a Speaker in the Humanities through the New York Council for the Humanities. Launched in 1983, the Speakers in the Humanities program brings the best in humanities scholarship to thousands of people at hundreds of cultural organizations in virtually every corner of New York. I was fortunate to offer some very popular topics from 2007 through 2015:
The Rodgers and Hammerstein Era:
Reinventing Musical Theater
The Ethnic Musicals: Assimilation and Integration
The Latino in the Broadway Musical
These talks are still available privately.

Performance PLUS!
at Tilles Center
I officially left Tilles Center after 17 years on February 27, 2015. I take great pride in the Performance PLUS! program which I founded and curated since its inception in 2005. This series of pre-performance events helped deepen the audience’s understanding of the works being performed. These included lectures, demonstrations, interviews and other Q&A’s prior to classical music concerts, recitals, opera, world music and dance. Performance Plus! events have featured interviews with Andre Watts; Edward Villella (Artistic Director Miami City Ballet); Zarin Mehta (Executive Director, New York Philharmonic); Stanley Drucker (Principal Clarinet, New York Philharmonic for over 50 ears); and Joan Roberts (original Laurie in Oklahoma!). Each season I chose speakers known for their expertise from academic institutions around the country. I have also coordinated and participated in workshops with Pilobolus, Philadanco, Yamato: the Drummers of Japan and other performers. Education does not end when one graduates; it is a lifelong process!
